Just earlier, the first day of our The Great Catsby Spring Spayathon has come to an end.
And this is what today looked like:

1. 66 animals spayed and neutered.
Yes, you read that right.
Sixty-six.
By one incredible vet and her nurse team.
Our target for today was 60…
And somehow, we are already over. Which means what always seems to happen…
We will likely surpass the impact we initially planned.
And it’s that strange feeling – a small smile, with a tear behind it.
Because only we truly know what it takes to make this happen.

2. A moment of chaos.
One cat escaped and ran onto the wall shelves… and smashed a formalin bottle.
Within seconds, the air became unbreathable.
Everything had to be moved.
Surgery. Prep. People. Animals.
But somehow, solutions were found.
And the day went on.

3. Life, quite literally.
One heavily pregnant cat had an emergency C-section alongside her spay.
She is now safe tonight, with her babies, in an incubator at the clinic..
Tomorrow she goes back home to her village – and we will follow their case closely.

4. Four more lives we couldn’t turn away
Four sisters, brought in from very bad conditions.
They couldn’t go back.
There was no real choice. So they are now part of our rescue.
Four more souls, hoping for a better life.

Because while this was happening, our +160 rescue animals still needed everything they always need.
Nothing pauses.
It never does.
We’ll leave it here for tonight.
