We are trying once again.

Because we are simply drowning in abandoned kittens and never-ending problems, and it feels like we cannot breathe unless we are also pushing forward with spay and neuter work.

We need to sterilise more animals. We need to put a brake on the influx of new rescues, because we are DROWNING. Without exaggeration.

We need to feel that we are still doing something to change the future, rather than only trying to survive the emergencies of today. Otherwise, I think we will all go completely crazy. We are not far from it already.

So, we are hoping to organise a Mini-Spayathon in September. One day, perhaps 30 animals, perhaps 40 – IF we can raise the funds.

This time, however, I am not setting a date or booking the day with the vets until I know we have the money to pay for it. It is simply not possible to continue like this, from debt to debt, with one minus piled on top of another.

We want to do this work. We need to do this work. But we cannot keep committing to costs we have no way of covering.

Cost of one surgery:

Cat spay/neuter: £41
Dog spay/neuter: £60

I will add cats and dogs to a list below as soon as we raise enough to cover each animal. Every tick will mean one more surgery we can actually afford to carry out.

Please join us in this desperate effort to stop animals suffering on the streets before it all begins.

We are not only looking at the animals already in our care. We are looking at all the future suffering we can prevent – the kittens and puppies who will never have to be abandoned, starve, become sick or die because there was no one to care for them.

This is the work that changes the future. And we refuse to give it up.

But we simply cannot do it without your support.

You can sponsor a cat, a dog, half a surgery, or contribute even £1. Every donation brings us closer to being able to book this Spay-Day.
