I rarely do fundraisers anymore because my time is no longer my time. It belongs to the 100+ rescued animals that I am responsible for.
And it is such a difficult period for us, in which we have been constantly saving animals beyond all our means and in which we find that the support we receive is almost non-existent.
Unfortunately, the mirror of the society we live in can also be found in this campaign's images.
The lack of active involvement and of moral responsibility leads to situations like this: innocent souls that come into this world, unaware that the reality that awaits them is most oftenly death, quick or in agony.
Two months ago we had over 70 rescued cats in our care. Meanwhile, the flood of abandoned babies and serious cases to which we failed to say "no" increased the number to over 100 cats :(
