*Imagine you are old and alone*

You had a family once but they tossed you like trash. They no longer needed you.

You are forced to fend for yourself now on the streets, in the cold. Your body aching with arthritis. You have no teeth at all and you are always hungry.

Territorial toms attack you and if it wasn’t bad enough by now, you get infected with FIV.

You are hit by people that want you gone from the doors of the apartment buildings where you are trying to warm up your old bones. You are being in their way.

You are ignored by people that pretend you don’t exist when they pass by.

A driver doesn’t care about you and hits you when you try to cross the street. He breaks your leg and never looks back.

There is no one to take you to the doctor and your leg heals wrongly.

You carry on with your pain and survive.

But ONE DAY someone looks at you and SEES YOU.

Sees your sad eyes. A girl stops and gives you a little food and a soft hand. Then she picks you up and takes you to the vet.

Maybe there is more life for you. A new life for you. Someone cares.

Maybe not all people are the same.

You still love people though.

Since today, we have an old boy that was let down by everyone he ever met.

But he still loves us, shitty humans.

Our new beautiful baby is 15+ years old, he is FIV+, he has arthritis, had a fractured femur that healed by itself without receiving proper treatment in due time so walks with a limp.

He is skinny and has dry and matted fur.

He has no teeth.

But he enjoys lots of wet food and lots of cuddles.

Miraculously, after horrible years on the streets, his health is still decent for his age.

And he is looking for a new home.

Yes he is and he damn well deserves it!

He likes to sleep most of the day. He snores adorably. He reaches out for your hand.

He likes to sit with humans and he likes to feel their touch.

He loves a fluffy bed. He curls up and snoozes in there.

His eyes are still sad.

But he will never be alone or hurt or hungry again! This we promised him.

Our old boy needs a family that will make right all those years of wrong.
